I primarily use industrial materials, such as wood or metal that I have accumulated and have been marinating for a while in my studio.

I enjoy working intuitively and directly, letting materials misbehave through an act of roughing things out and there is an openness in this discovery. They are amorphic forms contained in pieces of architecture, negotiating completion, expanding from the middle out.

A playful and visceral approach to materials is also embodied in my writing, which combines poetry, anecdotes, musings and memories that are sometimes spoken or performed.
